The shopping experience… delivered to you.

I took a chance and went ahead and placed a StitchFix order for this month. With all the changes I’m making to my workflow and new endeavors I’m taking on I thought it was time to create a new wardrobe.

I’ve been decluttering my closet and belongings now for a few years, reducing unnecessary expenses and belongings so I find it’s time to look for quality items as I create this new aesthetic. So excited!

Accountability as an Entrepreneur

Who/What are you accountable to?

Your family?

…friends?

… clients?

… employer? …soon to be ex boss?

…employees?

…audience?

… others?

… Yourself?

…Your Vision?

…Your Dreams?

…Your Mission?

When dealing with change we often get caught up in the emotion of the process. We do what is comfortable, we avoid making a wave to perhaps “keep the peace”. This emotion stops all progress, it causes procrastination. Finding the root of the problem is only one small step towards resolving an issue but it is a step towards creating momentum.

If you choose to pursue an entrepreneurial path, know that it will be challenging. I don’t intend to ever sugar coat the reality that is this particular lifestyle. From experience and from listening to others’ stories, no path is easy. One thing I like to remind myself is it all depends on the type of stress you want to deal with. This is why building resilience is in my opinion one of the best things you can do. As you establish the habit of getting back up after things have gone wrong it becomes second nature to pick yourself up.

Without accountability, our reasons to keep going have no foundation. Our WHY, has to be rock solid.

If figuring out your why has been challenging, pay careful attention to what makes you take action toward accomplishing the most daunting of tasks on your to do lists.

A few Qs to ask ourselves include:

What have you been procrastinating on? & Why?

How would you go about making sure someone else had completed the tasks if you had delegated it but the responsibility still fell on you?

Deciding to live healthier…

Deciding to live healthier…

Consists of several factors.

It can be the food you eat or don’t eat.

The sleep you get or don’t.

The stress you tolerate or don’t. (This one often leads to making tough calls)

and so on…

But ultimately it’s a decision.

In the beginning of any journey it’s difficult to take the first step or even the first 1,000 steps but as you make small action moves towards them the journey that was once feared, avoided, doubted, abandoned, will slowly reveal itself.

We know, we feel, think and are better when we take care of ourselves.

It’s just difficult to stray from the status quo until it’s not.

Connecting the dots…

As a multi-passionate entrepreneur it’s easy to get caught up in all the things.

Throughout my childhood I struggled with the idea that I had to narrow down my interests. If there’s one thing I could tell my younger self it would be “It’s okay. You enjoy connecting dots between topics that seemingly have nothing to do with one another. As time and research will show however, it’s those new connections made that yield creations. Keep learning, keep connecting the dots…“
