It’s that time of year again, planner time!

This year I’m starting with a Hobonichi planner! I’m so excited I’ve been gathering stickers, and other paper accessories I have and looking through the paper craft sections at my local craft stores. Anyone else?!?

But I didn't start off with a Hobonichi I started with a notebook and multiple looseleaf sheets of paper, more often than not I always ran into trouble because I couldn’t find the looseleaf that I needed at just in time to complete the tasks that needed managing.

We’re raised in environments that either are perfectly catered to what we need or not so much, either way we learn. We’re meant to learn how to manage the resources, skills we innately have or must face the reality of learning how to attain just what we need through personal development, hard work, resilience and action.

Whether you opt to routinely set resolutions as the new year comes about or have your own preferred time of the year for a RESET, learning to break down your BIG PICTURE, long term goals down into habitual routines, to do lists, motivational workflows, as a creative entrepreneur is your responsibility, your duty, your making, though it may not come easily. You are creating a life, by design afterall, meaning although someone may have had a similar journey to yours, you are genuinely the architect and engineer of your life. How will you artfully craft and design your life to be the ultimate experience?!?

As I sit here writing to y’all I’m contemplating this new version of me. What will and should I change? Where have I fallen short? What areas of life have I been slacking in? Who have I let down? How can I improve? How can I become the bests version of me? How can I arrive at the goals I love to dream of? Am I ready to become a mother? As you read these I hope you take a moment to reflect on similar questions. When we hold ourselves to high standards and aim for them we ultimately go from being our own worst enemy to our own biggest cheerleader.

If you're looking for inspiration as you begin planning for 2025 feel free to check out my Hobonichi Planner Videos over on YouTube let’s make 2025 the greatest year yet!

Keep It Classy

When confronted with business realities and LIFE. It may at times be challenging to keep our composure. Let alone if on the one end we’re being told as women not to be to demanding or overbearing or ultimately b*tchy.

As women it’s a truth that must be faced however, we decide how we want to be perceived. It’s our lack of self control or self awareness (which we are responsible for) that little by little leaves a breadcrumb of who we are becoming.

Opting to have a creative venture is one of the ways we can truly discover what makes us, us.

Deciphering our true motives and intentions behind our pursuits is key. Our we doing it for ourselves? Our people? Our community? Our family? To what end?

Might our emotions be justifiable in a moment of discontent and discomfort? Absolutely.

However, there is a time and a place. And learning to understand the nuances of life is one of the many gifts we’ve all been granted.

When you’re cranky, sleep deprived, hangry, overwhelmed, tired, annoyed, aggravated…

Keep In Mind:

Keep It Classy

Accountability as an Entrepreneur

Who/What are you accountable to?

Your family?

…friends?

… clients?

… employer? …soon to be ex boss?

…employees?

…audience?

… others?

… Yourself?

…Your Vision?

…Your Dreams?

…Your Mission?

When dealing with change we often get caught up in the emotion of the process. We do what is comfortable, we avoid making a wave to perhaps “keep the peace”. This emotion stops all progress, it causes procrastination. Finding the root of the problem is only one small step towards resolving an issue but it is a step towards creating momentum.

If you choose to pursue an entrepreneurial path, know that it will be challenging. I don’t intend to ever sugar coat the reality that is this particular lifestyle. From experience and from listening to others’ stories, no path is easy. One thing I like to remind myself is it all depends on the type of stress you want to deal with. This is why building resilience is in my opinion one of the best things you can do. As you establish the habit of getting back up after things have gone wrong it becomes second nature to pick yourself up.

Without accountability, our reasons to keep going have no foundation. Our WHY, has to be rock solid.

If figuring out your why has been challenging, pay careful attention to what makes you take action toward accomplishing the most daunting of tasks on your to do lists.

A few Qs to ask ourselves include:

What have you been procrastinating on? & Why?

How would you go about making sure someone else had completed the tasks if you had delegated it but the responsibility still fell on you?

Connecting the dots…

As a multi-passionate entrepreneur it’s easy to get caught up in all the things.

Throughout my childhood I struggled with the idea that I had to narrow down my interests. If there’s one thing I could tell my younger self it would be “It’s okay. You enjoy connecting dots between topics that seemingly have nothing to do with one another. As time and research will show however, it’s those new connections made that yield creations. Keep learning, keep connecting the dots…“
